Section 13 of the Industrial Enterprises’ Act, 2020 (hereinafter referred to as the “Act”) mandates registered industries, after the commencement of commercial production or transaction, to submit the prescribed details to the authority of industry registration within 6 months from the end of each fiscal year. Additionally, in the event of failure to comply with this provision, the Act legislates the authority to levy fines for such industries as provisioned under section 43(5) of the Act. The fine amount is stipulated differently for the different types of industries, providing Rs. 1000 for micro entrepreneurship, Rs. 5000 for cottage and small industries, Rs. 10,000 for a medium industry and a large sum of Rs. 25,000 for large industries.
In line with these provisions, the Department of Industries (hereinafter referred to as the “Department”) has issued a notice regarding the online submission of the prescribed details. In addition, prior to visiting the Department in relation to the matters associated with the jurisdiction of the Department including change in name, change of location, capital increment, capacity enhancement, determining norms, and such, the required details relating to such undertakings are requested to be submitted online.
The submission process has been thoroughly referred to in the new notice issued on September 20,2020.
A step-by-step description of the process of online submission of the progress report is as follows:
Step 2: Click on “अथवा यहाँ क्लिक गरेर नयाँ खाता खोल्नुहोस्” and open a new account.
Step 3 : In the sign-up page, type in your Industry’s name where it asks for your “Full Name” and type in a mail address where it asks for “Email”.
Step 4 : Create a password for the profile which is to be used to access your profile in the given site.
Step 5 : Open your Email address and click on the “inbox” for the verification message. (Note: sometimes the verification message can be accessed in the “spam” of your email)
Step 6 : Click on the verification message and the link will open a new tab.
Step 7 : Re-enter your email and the password in the specified spaces.
Step 8 : Upload the scanned documents of:
- Company registration certificate
- Industry registration certificate
- PAN/VAT certificate
Step 9: Upon the submission of the scanned documents, the Department will verify the authenticity of the sender.
Step 10: After the verification, one can finally fill out the Progress Report of her/his industry.
Step 11: Submit the Progress report.
Step 12 : Save the Confirmation number and Print out the submitted report.
